Abstract:
The authors of an evaluation of the new programmes of nurse and midwife education in Scotland summarise their findings and methods. Students were found to be enjoying rich educational experiences. However, they did identify a number of problems in initial programme development, achievement of student roles and in assessment of learning. The authors offer recommendations for continued curriculum development and for further research. The evaluation was commissioned by the National Board for Scotland.
