Abstract:
Essential hyperhidrosis (EH) is a little-known disorder which may have a strong adverse effect on the patient's functioning. Conservative treatment of EH is often disappointing and the 'classical' surgical treatment is very radical and complicated. Thoracoscopic sympathectomy is efficacious in the treatment of palmar (and axillary) EH.
