The Post Coronary Artery Bypass Graft trial is an important milestone that documents the benefits of treating hypercholesterolemia in patients with severe coronary atherosclerosis who have had bypass surgery. In the present article, we highlight the rationale, study design, and results of the Post-CABG study, which was recently published in the New England Journal of Medicine.
