Purpose of the Study:

  • To evaluate the fracture resistance of weakened teeth restored with resin-bonded posts.
  • To compare the efficacy of different resin cements and a control cement.

  • Forty canine roots were endodontically treated and prepared.
  • Cervical canals were flared to simulate weakening.
  • Parallel-sided posts were cemented using three resin cements and zinc-phosphate cement.
  • Roots were subjected to progressively increasing fracture loads.
