Adopting Eastern infant nursing methods, like avoiding the prone position, significantly reduced sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS). This study proposes a thermoregulation disturbance, or hypothermia, as the cause of SIDS, suggesting new diagnostic and treatment approaches.
