Background:

Purpose of the Study:

  • To determine the prevalence and severity of pain in patients with VLUs.
  • To evaluate the diagnostic utility of pain in relation to ulcer aetiology and complications.
  • To assess the adequacy of pain management strategies in this patient population.

  • A prospective study involving 140 consecutive patients with leg ulcers across two specialist centres.
  • Semi-structured questionnaires were used to collect data on pain experience, location, severity, and analgesic use.
