"Is it still as easy as picking up the phone?" The impact of computers on how we communicate

This is the second in a series of articles which aims to explore the impact of computer technology on nursing and nursing practice. In this article, the relationship between the major players in the computer leagues today is briefly explored, and attempts made to demystify the use of computers in electronic communication. The establishment of electronic networks is explained and there is an introduction to the fastest growing network in the world--the World Wide Web.
