Oxygen therapy is a common medical intervention.
Inappropriate administration can lead to adverse events.

Purpose of the Study:

To audit oxygen therapy use in a hospital setting.
To identify areas for improvement in oxygen administration and monitoring.

A three-day audit of patients receiving oxygen therapy.
Review of patient records for mask usage, indications, and arterial gas analysis.
Assessment of oximetry monitoring frequency.

119 patients were using oxygen; 21 had incorrect or no mask use.

Improved protocols are needed to prevent complications like carbon dioxide retention.
