Summary

Technetium Tc 99m mercaptoacetyltriglycine (99mTc-MAG3) renal clearance measurements show potential for diagnosing canine nephropathy. Modified human algorithms distinguished healthy dogs from those with kidney disease, but larger studies are needed.
