Abstract:
Caring for patients with congenital heart defects requires a different set of knowledge and skills than those used in the care of adult cardiac patients. Not only are these patients smaller, but the altered hemodynamics of their structural defects require different diagnostic and treatment skills. This article briefly discusses some of the basic differences.
