Abstract:
A young brilliant university student, Laura Prete, is suddenly and unexpectedly affected by a cerebral haemorrage, which leads her along the classical path of hospital and rehabilitation care, from neurosurgery and intensive therapy to the most difficult step of re-conciliation with life. The story (a direct personal account, published as a book in a well selling series) is proposed, with a mix of text quotations and methodological comments, as a model of "clinical history" and of "evaluation process", as seen from the perspective of patients. Through Laura Prete, they recall professionals that they are persons and they have stories.
