Cardiac microdialysis accurately measures myocardial interstitial norepinephrine (NE) levels, reflecting local concentrations that influence ventricular contractility. This finding validates the technique for assessing cardiac sympathetic nerve activity and its impact on heart function.

Purpose of the Study:
