Summary

Elevated levels of N-terminal fragment of proANP (nANP) and atrial natriuretic peptide (cANP) can identify patients with left ventricular (LV) dysfunction. These natriuretic peptides improve diagnostic accuracy when combined with clinical and electrocardiographic risk factors.
