Abstract:
Stability of thiopentone sodium (TP) was investigated by means of accelerated testing at elevated temperature and pH ca. 10. The experiments carried out do not argue for propylene glycol as a good solvent for the preparations of an injectable TP solution because the shelf-life time predicted is more favourable for the aqueous solution.
