Summary

Human African Trypanosomiasis (HAT) caused by Trypanosoma brucei rhodesiense can lead to severe neurological complications. This case highlights unusual MRI findings and successful treatment of a patient with HAT and suspected post-therapeutic reactive encephalitis.
