Recombining sequence (RS) recombination deletes kappa alleles in B cells. This DNA rearrangement may not aid lambda gene switching, suggesting a different function in B cell development.

Background:

  • Recombining sequence (RS) recombination is a DNA rearrangement impacting immunoglobulin light chain gene expression.
