Summary

Triple extramammary Paget's disease (TEPD) is rare, predominantly affecting males, often with subtle axillary lesions. Radiotherapy shows promise for treating TEPD, particularly in the axilla.

Background:

  • Triple extramammary Paget's disease (TEPD) is a rare condition with unclear incidence and characteristics.
  • Extramammary Paget's disease (EPD) has various treatment options.

Observation:

  • This study reports two TEPD cases and reviews 23 previously documented cases.
  • The majority of TEPD cases (19/23) were reported in Japan.
  • Most TEPD patients were male, often presenting with minimal or no visible axillary eruptions.

Findings:

  • Radiotherapy demonstrated effectiveness in treating the reported TEPD cases.
  • The efficacy of radiotherapy for TEPD remains a subject of ongoing discussion.

Implications:

  • Histological examination of bilateral axillae is recommended for genital Paget's disease, even with subtle or absent eruptions.
