Summary

Alternatively activated macrophages (aaM phi) significantly promote angiogenesis compared to classically activated macrophages (caM phi). Mature aaM phi are crucial for sustained macrophage-associated angiogenic processes, unlike caM phi which exhibit low angiogenic potential.
