Ocular inflammatory diseases are prevalent in AIDS patients, with cytomegalovirus retinitis affecting up to 45%. Other infections like syphilis and toxoplasmosis present varied symptoms, while bacterial and herpetic keratitis show prolonged courses in HIV-positive individuals.
