Summary

Eating affects heart rate corrected QT interval (QTc) duration in healthy individuals. This study found that meal ingestion, not water, prolonged the QTc interval, suggesting a need for fasting guidelines before electrocardiogram (EKG) evaluations in weight loss programs.
