    Background:

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate the association between specific Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA) antigens and Behçet's disease in a Japanese population.
    • To determine if certain HLA antigen frequencies differ significantly between patients with Behçet's disease and healthy controls.

    • A standard microlymphocytotoxicity test was employed to determine HLA antigen profiles.
    • HLA typing was performed on 35 patients diagnosed with Behçet's disease.
