[Metastasis of bronchogenic lung carcinoma in CNS beginning as sensorineural hearing loss]

We report the case of a patient with metastatic bronchogenic carcinoma whose only initial sign was rapid and progressive neurosensory hearing loss. Magnetic resonance imaging with contrast enhancement yielded the diagnosis. Multiple, morphologically, suggestive lesions in the central nervous system (CSN), particularly the cerebellum and corpus callosum were visible. These lesions had no effect on the internal auditory canal (IAC) or cerebellopontine angle (CPA).
