Acute effects of nitrogen dioxide after accidental release

An accidental nitrogen dioxide release led to increased emergency visits, but serious pulmonary symptoms were rare. Proximity to the release site and being outdoors increased the risk of respiratory issues, especially for those with pre-existing conditions.
