Summary

Single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) brain imaging is effective for identifying seizure foci in epilepsy. Ictal or postictal SPECT scans, combined with interictal scans, offer the highest sensitivity for localizing seizures in refractory epilepsy patients.
