[Methods for defining the indications for indirect revascularization of eye]

The paper deals with the problem of treating ischemic diseases of the organ of vision by crossing the external branches of the carotid arteries. Methods based on the results of objective studies and verified in numerous operations are proposed. Experience gained in more than 250 indirect revascularizations of the eye demonstrates a high efficacy of the methods for defining the indications for ligature or crossing of the facial branches of the external carotid artery, thus recommending these methods for practical application.
