Background:

Purpose of the Study:

  • To analyze HR patterns during apneic cycles in non-rapid eye movement (NREM) sleep in patients with OSA.
  • To investigate the influence of breathing room air versus supplemental oxygen on these HR trends.

  • Analysis of consecutive apneic cycles in 7 normotensive patients breathing room air and 4 breathing supplemental oxygen.
