Effect of disinfectant on the dimensional stability, compressive strength and hardness on dental stone

Abstract:
In this investigation it was planned to study the effect of disinfection time on the dimensional stability, compressive strength and hardness of gypsum die materials. Measurements of specimens treated with disinfectant were compared with the corresponding measurements of control specimens. The results of this study indicated that there was no difference in the dimensional stability, compressive strength and hardness. Therefore using the disinfectants will not affect gypsum die material.
