Abstract:
Radionuclide bone scanning have revolutionized skeletal imaging and is a superior aid in detecting pathophysiologic changes of bone as compared to plain radiography. Radionuclide skeletal scanning has proved to be a valuable and beneficial tool in early and differential diagnosis of maxillofacial lesions. Moreover, skeletal scanning is helpful in treatment planning and follow-up after therapy of various orofacial infections.
