    Summary

    Retrograde ejaculation, where semen enters the bladder, can be overcome. Sperm retrieved from urine after intercourse and subsequent artificial insemination successfully led to pregnancies in two infertile men.

    Background:

    • Retrograde ejaculation is a condition where semen flows backward into the urinary bladder during orgasm.
    • This can lead to male infertility, as sperm is not expelled externally.

    Observation:

    • Two patients diagnosed with retrograde ejaculation and infertility were treated.
    • Sperm was retrieved from post-coital urine samples via centrifugation.
    • One patient's sperm sediment was washed with a nutrient solution; the other received urinary alkalizing agents.

    Findings:

    • Both patients' wives underwent artificial insemination using the retrieved sperm.
    • Both wives conceived, resulting in healthy babies after uneventful pregnancies.
