[Preparation for transplantation and graft patient management]

Often considered at the end of a long standing chronic disease, organ transplantation requires a preparation and a strict follow up before grafting which are centered upon the prevention of the risks related to the waiting of the graft and the assessment of the risk related to the transplantation itself. Follow up of the patient after transplantation cannot be interrupted. It is a multidisciplinary approach which is focused primarily upon the function of the graft, the tolerance to immunosuppressive drugs, the detection and prevention of their complications.
