Summary

A rare condition called macrolipasemia, where lipase binds to immunoglobulin Gkappa, caused persistently high lipase levels in a Crohn's disease patient. This is the first reported case of macrolipasemia associated with Crohn's disease.

  • Macrolipasemia, a rare cause of hyperlipasemia, should be considered in cases with discrepant clinical and laboratory findings.
