Background:

Observation:

  • A 73-year-old woman presented with a meningioma exhibiting extensive fatty degeneration.
  • Computed axial tomography (CAT) revealed a hypodense lesion with well-defined borders and heterogeneous contrast enhancement.
  • Magnetic resonance imaging (RMN) demonstrated heterogeneous signal intensities.

Findings:

  • The observed tumor was a meningiotheliomatous meningioma with substantial fatty degeneration, appearing hypodense on CAT.
