Summary

Intravitreal injection of c-type natriuretic peptide (CNP) significantly reduced intraocular pressure (IOP) in rabbits by increasing outflow facility. CNP and CNP-like immunoreactivities were detected in ocular tissues, suggesting a role in IOP regulation.
