Abstract:
Acute appendicitis is a great masquerader in surgical practice; its diverse clinical presentation can sometimes lead to delay in diagnosis. Nonetheless, the underlying aetiology of acute appendicitis may not be apparent if the appendix is not sent for histological examination.
