[Coagulation studies from capillary blood in newborn infants]

Neonatal coagulation studies reveal normal fibrinogen and factor V in healthy newborns, but severe deficits in factor II and proactivator-plasminogen. Fibrinogen levels were lower in newborns experiencing perinatal asphyxia.
