Summary

Vagus nerve stimulation (VNS) may effectively reduce seizures in patients with symptomatic generalized epilepsy (SGE) who are resistant to antiepileptic drugs (AEDs). This add-on therapy showed a significant decrease in seizure rates in a small patient group.
