Background:

  • Two eyes experienced temporary vision loss, with IOPs reaching 130/80 mm Hg and 180/90 mm Hg.
  • High IOP readings indicate potential risks associated with gas injection volume.

  • The simplified IOP monitoring method aids in managing pneumatic retinopexy safely.
  • Recommendations include targeting approximately 90 mm Hg intraoperative IOP or a maximum SF6 volume of 2.0-2.5 ml.
  • This approach can help prevent vision-threatening complications during retinal detachment repair.
