Propofol, a sedative, may cause pancreatitis in patients receiving long-term intensive care. Pancreatic enzymes normalized after discontinuing propofol, suggesting a potential drug-induced reaction.

  • Pancreatic enzyme levels gradually decreased to normal ranges after propofol discontinuation.
  • This case suggests a possible association between prolonged, high-dose propofol and pancreatitis, although head trauma is a confounding factor.
