The trial of fluctuating current in combined treatment of 94 children (age 3-14 years) with chronic hypertrophic pharyngitis proved superior to the conventional treatment in the control patients: the response rate 85.7-92.5% versus 52.9%, respectively. Combined treatment including fluctuating current is thought effective in children with chronic hypertrophic pharyngitis.
