[Effect on water metabolism of body posture relative to the gravity vector]

A combined effect of hypokinesia and body position at different angles to the gravity vector on the water content and rate of its metabolism was studied. It was shown that bed rest reduced total water losses and the rate of its metabolism. It was body position as related to the gravity vector rather than bed rest that influenced the total water content in the body.
