    Summary

    In patients with chronic renal failure, hypertriglyceridemia and type IV hyperlipoproteinemia are common. These lipid abnormalities did not correlate with disease severity or patient characteristics.

    Background:

    • Chronic renal failure (CRF) affects lipid metabolism.
    • Understanding serum lipid and lipoprotein patterns in CRF is crucial for patient management.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To analyze serum lipids and lipoprotein patterns in adult patients with nonnephrotic chronic renal failure.
    • To identify the prevalence of dyslipidemia and specific lipoprotein abnormalities in this cohort.

    Main Methods:

    • Retrospective analysis of serum lipids and lipoprotein patterns.
    • Inclusion of 100 adult patients diagnosed with nonnephrotic chronic renal failure.

    • Further research may be warranted to explore underlying mechanisms and therapeutic strategies.
