[The differentiated treatment of patients with disseminated sclerosis]

Current notions about the pathogenesis of multiple sclerosis coupled with the results of examination and treatment of 246 patients with corticosteroid, immunostimulating and health-fortifying agents provided the basis for working out an optimum staging while developing therapeutic policy in each particular case. It is advisable that during the course of treatment clinical findings be taken account of together with immunological, immunogenetic, biochemical criteria, for the treatment options to be carefully tailored to the individual patient.
