Background:

Sumatriptan is a common treatment for migraines.
Patients have experience with subcutaneous and oral sumatriptan formulations.

Purpose of the Study:

To evaluate patient perceptions of sumatriptan nasal spray.
Focus on onset of action, efficacy, tolerability, and user-friendliness compared to other sumatriptan forms.

Main Methods:

Self-administered questionnaires for migraineurs with prior sumatriptan experience.
Data based on at least two treatments with 20 mg sumatriptan nasal spray.

Main Results:

Nasal spray perceived faster onset and better tolerability than tablets, despite a bitter taste (68% incidence).
Nasal spray reported fewer adverse events than subcutaneous sumatriptan but was less effective.
