Abstract:
Traditionally, medicine is divided into two parts, preventive and curative medicine. Preventive medicine is the part of medicine that is designed to prevent disease before it appears through early treatment that improves the prognosis. This part of medicine is included in the broader field of public health. Preventive medicine is divided into primary prevention, which acts directly on individuals, and secondary prevention, which involves on the methods used. Among the methods used, one of the most frequent is screening, which takes two forms, population screening, and the more common active search for cases. In allergy, prevention is carried out in vitro by studying umbilical cord IgE or T lymphocytes, and by following a series of guidelines, behavioral habits, and environmental standards that act directly on individuals (diet, smoking, pollution, etc).
