Summary

Interleukin-8 (IL-8) rapidly mobilizes polymorphonuclear leukocytes (PMN) from bone marrow sinusoids into circulation. This study quantifies PMN release and transit time, revealing sinusoidal release as the primary mechanism for IL-8-induced granulocytosis.
