Summary

Microwave irradiation effectively sterilized dentures infected with Candida albicans and Streptococcus gordonii. Sodium hypochlorite soaks were effective against Candida albicans but not Streptococcus gordonii, suggesting microwaving is a superior denture sterilization method.
