Abstract:
The authors describe the first case in Bulgaria of a pericardial cyst treated by videothoracoscopy. Standard techniques and videoendoscopic appliances were used. Several potential advantages over open techniques in terms of the attendant postoperative pain, hospital stay (4 days) and cosmetic results are evaluated.
