Summary

Pharmacological treatments for progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) showed limited efficacy and frequent side effects in autopsy-confirmed cases. Dopaminergic drugs offered some parkinsonian symptom relief but caused adverse events, with no lasting benefits observed in PSP patients.

Background:
