    Summary

    Inflammatory eye lesions, including conjunctivitis and iritis, are common in psoriatic arthritis patients. This finding supports the link between psoriatic arthritis and seronegative spondyloarthropathies.

    Background:

    • Psoriatic arthritis (PsA) is a chronic inflammatory disease.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To determine the frequency of ocular inflammation in patients with psoriatic arthritis.
    • To identify specific types of eye lesions associated with PsA.
    • To explore the relationship between ocular inflammation and sacroiliitis/ankylosing spondylitis in PsA patients.

    Main Methods:

    • A study was conducted on 112 patients diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis.
    • Ocular inflammation was assessed, and specific lesions like conjunctivitis, iritis, episcleritis, and keratoconjunctivitis sicca were recorded.
