Summary

Patients with ischemic heart disease often have associated carotid and peripheral artery disease. Simultaneous surgical procedures, like coronary artery bypass grafting with carotid endarterectomy or lower extremity revascularization, can yield acceptable outcomes, but require individualized risk assessment.
